Dress is sheer at the bodice because the material is thin but covered at the bust. Bust is slightly padded with underwires. Material is stretchy lace and mesh. Straps are adjustable. It is a nightgown, not a casual summer dress, you can wear it outside but consider layering. Fit best size M or bra size 80C or bust max 96cm even tho tag says size L
